Maarten on January 1, 1984 by the late Edward F. Buncamper.

The offices
were re-located from the town of Philipsburg to the harbor area in Point
Blanche. To realize this transfer of operational activities, the land
and building of the old Pott Rum factory were bought. In 1990, a complete
new office and warehouse facility was constructed opposite the old Pott
Rum building in Point Blanche.
Over the
many years in the shipping business St. Maarten Port Services N.V. has
represented and done business with many major shipping lines in the
world. To name a few: Tropical Shipping Co, C.G.M., NedLloyd, TecMarine,
Bernuth. In addition several Cruise lines which visit St. Maarten were
represented at some point, amongst others Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean,
Carnival Cruises, Radisson Diamond and others.
Today
St. Maarten Port Services N.V. is considered one of the principal Shipping
and Stevedoring Companies on St. Maarten. With a staff of 50 employees,
it is certainly one of the most experienced and reliable companies in
the field of shipping.
