Agents
The
Company represents both Freight and Cruise lines with regular or incidental
services to the island of St. Maarten and neighboring islands.
Stevedoring Operations
A qualified team of supervisors, operators and laborers render
efficient stevedoring services 24-hours per day, seven (7) days a week.
Equipment
and Terminal Operations
The Company
currently has several pieces of equipment at its disposal for the terminal
operations. A 225-ton Crawler crane, a five high container reach stacker,
top lifters and forklifts. In the near future, a Gottwald crane will
be available to further enhance efficiency of the terminal operations.
Inland Transportation
Five 'International'
trucks handle all transportation of dry and frozen containers (20 and
40 ft.) to business clientele on the island. LCL cargo is also delivered
to customers upon request.
Transshipment
of Cargo
The transshipment
department of the Company is at all times at your service to arrange
and handle all onward cargo shipments from St. Maarten to the other
islands in the Caribbean such as Saba, St. Eustatius, Anguilla, Antigua,
St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat through the use of local connecting
vessels.
Warehousing
The warehouse facility of the company comprises 20.000 (?) square feet
of covered and secured storage area for all LCL cargo. A competent warehouse
staff arranges stripping and stuffing of containers and pickup delivery
service. The covered ramp area of the warehouse has five loading bays
and is located adjacent to the offices of St. Maarten Port Services
N.V. close to the cargo pier.
Container
Storage
A large
area has been designated for both loaded and empty containers at the
port of Philipsburg for storage purposes. Shipping out of empty containers
should take place within 30 days after arrival.
Repairs
and Maintenance
The company
has a garage facility with qualified mechanics to repair and maintain
containers and reefers. Repairs are done on demand to chassis and other
ship's equipment.
Administration
and Documentation
All vessel
documentation, bills of lading, manifests and other administrative services
can be organized at the main offices of the Company by secretarial staff.
Communications equipment and computer online services (internet/e-mail)
are available during office hours, including Saturdays (morning hours).
